World of Warcraft, “Cataclysm” on the road
I come back to World of Warcraft, because I came across a hot news on this topic: it looks that the long awaited “Cataclysm” series is on the road, at least this is the official point expressed on www. worldofwarcraft.com. The piece of news has already been borrowed by bloggers around the world, with a lot of enthusiasm.
Let`s see in depth, what`s going on with World of Warcraft (I apologize for those who like the abbreviation “Wow”, for me it`s rather confusing, World of Warcraft can be a “wow” game or not). So, on the official community of the game we can find out that the new series “Cataclysm” is much closer than ever, as the beta test is ready and will be performed into a live system. In concrete words, the producers started to send invitations to selected participants, invitations that are meant to test the structure of the game. To my disappointment, the testers aren`t the most dedicated fans of the game, but probably it`s more democratically like this to consult at random the general opinion on a new version.
If you want to be among the lucky gamers, who are trying the new version, you must create a beta profile on your Battle.net account management page…fans understand what is all about, all I can say is that I will try to follow this hint too. One important thing about this testing is that you won`t receive beta keys, it`s like a trial, when its period ends, the magic of free playing “Cataclysm” ends too. Producers also warn that there are also scam mails regarding this testing, so be careful and check your beta invitation status on www. battle.net.
Spinning around on the official community of World of Warcraft, I came across a section which presents in brief, but sufficiently seductively, what will happen in Azeroth once the “Cataclysm” starts. An ancient enemy, Deathwing the Destroyer, will rise from its sleep and will attack again the Humans. Deathwing isn`t a new character in World of Warcraft, he was once defeated by the brave warriers of Azeroth, but now he wounds are healed and he is ready to strike once again the Humanity, led by thought of a cruel revange. Imprisoned in the depths of Earth, his rising from Deepholm will be similar to an eruption (and so the title of “Cataclysm” is cleared up), sundering the world and spreading fear in the four corner of the Earth. Cataclysm isn`t such a physical effect, the concrete earthquake will be double by an inner “cataclysm” in the hearts of all Humans: the broken and desperate world needs heroes…and you can be one of them!
The characters proposed for “Cataclysm” are more dreadful than ever, at least this was my impression, seeing some of the Artworks. Not to mention that producers applied to race change, so what was once a good elf can attack you anytime, thirsty for blood. Well, the rest you have to discover alone, on “Cataclysm”. As one of the player used to say: “See you in Azeroth!”
