The Executive Director of Twitter, Evan Williams, posted on his blog some impressive information about their business, including the fact that the number of registered users exceeded 145 million, says TechCrunch.
The socialization platform has registered almost 300000 applications. The number refers to practical applications such OAuth (Open Authorization) recorded in the Twitter ecosystem and includes several versions of some of those.
Only a few days ago Twitter has gone from normal user authentication on OAuth, giving away some applications like Tweetie (redeveloped as Twitter for iPhone).
Also, Williams mentioned that the number of Twitter users who enter using the mobile phone has increased with 62% from the mid-April, while 16% of new customers of the site are using first mobile Twitter and then PC Twitter. 46% of the active users have some experience with the mobile version of the site and 78% of those who interact with Twitter do so via twitter.com.
