Did you miss the intelligent and protective robots from “Transformers ”?! Don`t worry, they are here, before the third episode of the movie has been officially launched. I really hope that the plot of the game could possibly reproduce the plot of the movie, but anyhow “Transformers” is that kind of movie, that is impossible not to be taken in account, so let`s leave aside the details.
“Transformers: War for Cybertron” is also produced by Activision, the company of which we have been discussing in a recent article, so expect yourself to be driven by dynamism, explosion, tension and sensibility (I guess that you remember the scene in Egyptian desert, in which the human Coby saved the life of the mighty Optimus Prime). Cybertron is that faraway planet from which Optimus Prime and the other good robots were exiled, so you can imagine the showdown of robotic forces on the metal planet. In this game you have nothing to do as a human, being Colby or his girlfriend, all you can do is to enter in the shoes of robot and to fight for your cause, either positive or negative. “Transformers: War for Cybertron” will challenge you to become the ultimate weapon, the last hope for the party, that you have chosen. On you depends the survival of the entire race, so I bet you will play day and night, in order to achieve the maximal score in the game. As in the previous movies and games, you will have at your disposal an arsenal of lethal and high-tech weapons and the ability to “transform” yourself into a vehicle any time. Co-operation feature makes the fight even more intense: you and your partners have to fight for your life and for the sake of the team.
This was my opinion watching a trailer, you can try the game or just forget about it. Some of the American most prestigious editors on games confirmed my description, while other denied the improvement of “Transformers 3” among the other versions released until now.
So, some editors see in “Transformers: War for Cybertron” the best of all next-generation games ever played, which can offer you challenging and totally action, impressing single-player campaign, a terrifying but curious image on Cybetron inhabitants, suitable and tempting even for those who aren`t fans of Transformers.
On the other side, the new game Transformers, released on 22 June 2010, received bad critics on the following topics: recognizable elements from the previous series, bad textures and problems with the plug-ins (ammunition and transforming process), a superficial message, which was obvious and intuitive from the well-known plot. If I could defend Transformers in front of these accusation, probably founded, I would say that a game is to be played, not to separated into slides of mythology, or weapons weightless.
