Thomas Edison is a famous inventor and physicist, who discovered that the light can be created by humans, not only by the Sun, thus he invented the bulb. He has a saying that is written on Wikipedia also, a saying that I like very much. It says that “Genius is one percent inspiration, ninety-nine percent perspiration”.
He was born in Ohio and was the creator of many inventions that changed our life. At the beginning, when he invented the electric light, there were placed numerous bulbs in many cities in America and the images were thrilling. To see this coming from a small town, it was amazing. This of what you see when you go in Las Vegas. In your town, normally you don’t see lights like these, lit day and night, but especially at night to create this effect. Imagine how those people felt in 1879, when Edison invented the first bulb, whose energy allowed him to lit a room for 40 hours.
In 1880, he got the patent for an electric lamp. But he did not only this, he patented a system to distribute the electricity on a grander scale. So, in 1880, the people started to use the electric light in a massive way. More about Thomas Alva Edison on Wikipedia, where is a large article about all his inventions.
