“The Sims ” is a one of the series launched by EA lately. The news is that the brand, which has already reached the third edition, is ready to launch a new sequel: “The Sims: Medieval”.
The game is perfect for you, if you are in love with Middle Age. Spectacular backgrounds, ancient clothes, graceful ladies and mighty knights, but the charm stops here: we won`t like that much the slowly movements. I saw a trailer and I was shocked: EA creates as usual speedy games, sprinkled with a lot of 3D effects, this one looks rather as a game dedicated to children, who don`t request too much from a game, but fun.
The characters eat in slow motion, move like snails, play as well and carry babies like in a lullaby. It sounds crazy, but I bet that this slow motion will trace in your mind a negative impression concerning the game.
The official site of the new sequel isn`t available 100%. You can download some screenshots, to create your own prototype of heroes and that`s all. No videos, no community, no news about the game. If this comforts you a little bit, redirect yourself to the site of EA and see what information you can`t get from this source.
The simulation-life game will be available for PC and Mac at the end of Spring 2011. “The Sims” is one of the games that doesn`t bare the advisory parent, so don`t hesitate to buy it for your children. Their teachers of History will be satisfied to see that they have learnt something about the medieval world.
“The Sims: Medieval” gives you the freedom to choose from being a king, queen, knight or even wizard. In each of these roles, you will have to work, to craft or to take part in magical quests. Although you are a king, you will have to take in account the pieces of advices of your personal wizard from the Court.
Although it sounds boring to be a knight or a lady of Middle Age, you will find it quite funny and inciting to protect the kingdom from evil spirits, to search the fountain of youth, heal the sick persons or to trade goods in market. Live in Middle Age is full of action, although the graphics won`t help you very much.
Comparing to other medieval games, you will be pleased to find out that anytime you can customize your kingdom or little house. When you will firstly start your game play, you will be asked to build your kingdom from the ground, which is an interactive feature. Next, you will create a hero or a group of hero and you have to add to their destiny traits and “fatal flaw”.
As far as I could observe, each review dedicated to the game is assaulted by suggestions come from the part of readers. It looks that The Sims series are wished to continue with sequels related to Robin Hood or Ancient cultures as China.
I cannot imagine how anyone could ever get tired of this game. I find it simply amazing and there are so many Sims patches out there… just when you thought you got bored of this game and there is nothing else EA can come up with to surprise you BOOM! They go ahead and launch something new. First it was pets, then I was stranded on a deserted island and now we get to be kings and knight in shining armor. I love the developers of this game!!!!!!
