SocialText Desktop is an application which can be added to the SocialText program, which is a program designed for the big companies, allowing the employees to communicate, just like they are using a social network, created only for themselves. This is a feature of SocialText and it can be added to the program or not, depending on how the management of the company wishes.
Given the name, you can imagine that this is a desktop application that will let the users to benefit of the advantages of organizing their desktop screen just like they want. Still, if you have more than 100 employees, it is best to limit those activities and to focus on some groups only, not on all of them, because you will spend your whole work day watching the monitor.
