Review RA Chord Hunter 1.4

Playing a musical instrument can be a hard thing to do, but this, too, can be supported by some software applications, as apparently there is some kind of use for every software utility. Guitar players for example now have the possibility to learn the chords first and the location of the fingers when getting certain notes before even holding the guitar in their hands. When they master this, they will certainly be able to apply it into practice and play the instrument in an appropriate manner.

RA Chord Hunter 1.4 is a musical software utility that is very visual and helps the user picture the grid better. This utility helps you listen to the chords by simply clicking them in the lyrics, then transposing them on the guitar grid and finally saving the text of the song.

The application does not need to write anything on the registry, but uses over 25 types of chords . The most important feature in my opinion is the fact that you can transpose them into a different tonality if it’s not compatible with you or your skills, so it’s maybe too hard for you to play a certain song. This transposer is built-in, so no trouble with the transposition.

There’s a very useful and handy guitar tuner that you can use and also detailed diagrams for both left handed guitar player, but also for the right handed. You can have direct access to basically all commands because they all have shortcuts on the keyboard. Except for the musical notations and the chord transpositions, you also have access to a text editor where you can include by paste these annotations or even pictures. RA Chord Hunter 1.4 is developed by a Russian software engineer from RA Software and is available on this web page in its original form using the Russian alphabet, but you can also find it in other languages like English. It addresses a small number of subjects, as it touches a professional field.

This freeware is small – only 1 MB in size -  and is compatible with all Windows versions.
