Play Eight Off Solitaire

“Eight Off Solitaire” means a game where you will be required to form four suites from 1 to K. The aces are already placed at the right side of the screen. If you enter the next link, you will see how the cards are arranged on the table: http://games.yahoo.com/game/eight-off-solitaire.

Then, at the left side of the screen and on the entire surface in fact, you will see how the dealer forms 8 columns and places the cards one by one in those columns, to form strings of cards. At the bottom of the screen, there are eight locations in which the dealer can place some cards. He places only four cards, and the rest of the four spaces remain empty, because you are gonna need them to place the cards that stay in your way, when you want to reach to a card that is suitable to be placed on the right side of the screen, thus to form those suites.

You can take a card, that is placed at the lowest position on the board and move it on top of another card, which is one point more valuable than the card you move and has the same color as the card you move. In fact, the cards can be placed only on top of the cards coming from the same suit, the only difference being that when you move a card from the surface to another card on the same surface, you have to take for example a 4 of diamonds and to place it on top of a 5 of diamons. But when you want to move a 4 of diamonds towards the suites that are on the right side of the screen, you must place it on top of a 3 of diamonds.

“Eight Off Solitaire” does not mean that the eights are removed from the cards, but this name shows that the cards that are dealt by dealer at the bottom of the screen are only four, out of eight. In this way, the dealer allows you to use the locations remained empty, in order to place some cards from the board.
