Cubis 2 is a very interesting game which can be played at this link. As you can probably imagine, this is a puzzle game, which is loaded on Yahoo, on a separate browser window. The rules of the game are simple. The player has to eliminate three cubes that have the same color. Some of the cubes attach next to another cube or cubes, but from time to time in the game you will receive some halfs of cubes which will allow you to use that form that you get from the game, under the cube towards which that half of cube is directed.
There are also some cubes which do not only have a green or a blue color, but they are pulsating, which means that they will change the color of the cube to which it will be attached into its own color. So, you have a blue pulsating cube and no blue cube to attach that one. Well, there might some blue cubes at the middle of the board, but it is beyond your reach there. First you have to eliminate the cubes that are on the margins of the board and next to go to the middle of the board.
To get you a picture, I will tell you that the board of this game is very much similar to the one used for Mahjongg card game, but there you have to match two cards that are on the top of other cards. In this game we’re playing on Yahoo, you have only one cube at the bottom of the board and only when you direct a half of cube towards another cube, that cube which is right now on the board will be lifted with one cube higher, by that half of cube which is placed under it. In this way, you will make more room for the items to come. Unfortunately, the halfs come very rarely when you play this game. You have a limited time in which you have to match a several number of cubes. There is a luck though, because if you have to match let’s say 70 cubes, after you match three of them, the number drops to 67, so you can obtain rapidly a good result.
The game has no particular music, but you can hear some sounds made by the cubes that collide one with the other. It is recommended that when you enter the game to read more the “How to play” section. The browser option offers you two variants of gameplay: the first one is called Arcade and you get the chance of eliminating a certain number of cubes against the clock and the second one is called Morph-Fun Arcade, where you have to remove the cubes and the jumping ghost cubes. The difference between those two variants of gameplay is that in the first you don’t have ghost cubes like in the second, which means that no cube will appear from nowhere while you play the game. This can be a good thing, but also a bad thing, because when you are ready to hit a green cube with another green cube, you may have the bad luck to see how an orange cube is placed between the green cube which is already on the board and the green cube which you want to use to attach it to the other one. The situation is even more difficult when this is the only way where you could place the green cube and any other placing on the board is not a good thing to do. So, you can imagine the frustration felt in these moments. Overall, the game is good, it uses your intelligence, eye-mind collaboration and all of this for a low cost (the Internet connection’s cost, because this game is free for play).
