When I first introduced this game to you, just the version for iPad was available on the market. Now, it looks that your PC and Mac are ready to enjoy the Plants and Zombies experience.
Valve and PopCap Games announced proudly that the “Plants vs. Zombies” managed to become the Game of the Year, so a special edition will be launched, in order to celebrate the event. If you are interested to move your zombie experience from iDevice to PC or Mac, be ready to take your place in the queue formed for purchase via Steam.
Although you may not be very satisfied with this idea of exclusive distribution, think of the advantages of which you will benefit, if you choose the GOTY edition estimated at 10$: Steam Cloud support, data online storage and a more easy access from multiple computers. If you like to play in team with your friends and family, Steam`s solutions will be just perfect for you. Don`t worry about the number of computers connected and don`t worry that you will have to pause the game for the popcorn in your micro-wave. “Plants vs. Zombies” will offer you the same funny gaming that it did previously on iPad.
Surprises don`t end here. Besides these commodity facilities, you can benefit of some creative features. With “Zombatar”, you can build your own zombies and then, include them in the game. I guess the next step will be a “Plantar”, allowing you to create your own defensive plants. These features will cost you some dollars, but if you bought your game through Steam, you can download them for free as an update.
There`s one thing that bothers me about all the reviews, that I read: why do we have to include “Plants vs. Zombies” in the category of defensive games?! After all, it`s just a game for fun, the so-called weapons are animated plants, not static objects. Anyhow, the game was declared the “Game of the Year”, at least on the official site of Popcap.
For such a performance, the producers prepared some funny features, in order to keep you stuck to your PC or Mac. Your zombie experience will receive enhancements for the classical five game modes (Adventure, Mini-Games, Puzzle, Survival and Zen Garden). If you earn 20 achievements, you can show off to the world with your zombie-zapping skills and so on. The team that produced the game understood what the gamers are looking for and here are some catchy updates for them.
If you are interested by the style of PopCap, you can try another of their creations, such as “Escape Whisper Valley”, “Zuma`s Revenge”, “Peggle Strategy Guide” or “Bejeweled 2”. The same childish, minimal representations will conquer your attention for long time, either it`s about charmed jewels that are moving around or evil tiki statues that plan to kill you in ancient games. If you aren`t still decided, for a day or a couple of day you can try a trial version, for free.
