Nikon Launches Two New Objectives

Nikon is pleased to announce the launch of two new objectives for professionals: NIKKOR AF-S 35mm f/1.4 G and NIKKOR AF-S200mm f/2G ED VR II.

NIKKOR AF-S 35mm f/1.4G is the third objective from the series of high quality of f/1.4 Nikkor models developed in the past six months, extending the creative possibilities for professional photographers. It sets a new standard for photojournalists, combining stunning contrast and resolution with exceptional performance in low light. Joined to the objectives of 85mm f/1.4 and of 24mm f/1.4 which were announced recently, this model highlights the brand’s continued desire to offer a range of Nikon‘s exceptional optics for photographers.

The photojournalist Kadir van Lohuizen from Noor photo agency, honored with numerous awards, was first given access to the new Nikkor AF-S 35mm f/1.4G. He said: “The 35mm is the objective for the “street”, standard for many of us at Noor and we are very excited about this new version; it is amazing. This objective will enable the shooting in all lighting conditions and high-performance of the pictures”. He added: “Thanks to this objective, our documentary projects will achieve, certainly a new level”.

NIKKOR AF-S 200mm f/2G ED VR II  is provided with Nano Crystal coating, the technology for the next-generation Vibration Reduction (VR II) and with a new way of focusing the A / M. The objective provides a picture quality with exceptional clarity, contrast and excellent definition. This objective demonstrates its full value when used for entertainment performed on stage and sporting events indoors.

AF-S NIKKOR 200mm f/2G ED VR II was built to handle the most demanding requirements of a professional photographer. Because of the durable magnesium casing and waterproof lining that protects it from dust and moisture, this objective is suitable for the toughest shooting conditions. In addition, the removable glass element, meniscus type, offered exclusively by Nikon protects the glass element in the front from accidental scratches. The objective is fully compatible with all the current Nikon teleconverters, increasing the coverage and giving it more versatility.
