New MacBook On Its Way

Several Apple insiders reported that Apple will launch a new MacBook to celebrate Steve Jobs’ birthday. On February 24, 2011, Steve Jobs turns 56 and this year Apple celebrates this event by releasing a new MacBook which will be available in every iStore.

Apple will announce a MacBook Pro refresh this week also, making the machines thinner and lighter. The processors will come from Intel, like the other versions of MacBooks, but this time, they come from the new “crop”. Better screens and larger trackpads, these are the features that are expected to be encountered on the new MacBooks. In the hard drive, the computers will have installed the Mac operating system and the other software programs that come installed when you buy an Apple computer.

It is reported that MacBook Pro will weigh less than it currently does. The packages with the new models have been already delivered to every Apple Store, so that on February 24, they all to have these new devices ready to receive their customers. Last week, Steve Jobs and other CEOs met President Obama to discuss about the US economy and their possibilities of creating new jobs in the IT sector. One of those who will create indeed jobs, first in Arizona and then in other states all across America, is going to be Paul Otellini, the CEO of Intel, which will build new headquarters for the company in Chandler, Arizona.

Other reports on Steve Jobs say that he goes regularly to Stanford Cancer Center to receive his treatment. He is scheduled to receive a new round of treatment. We don’t know yet how his health is now after receiving this treatment, but hopefully everything is ok for the CEO of Apple. We know for sure that Steve Jobs is regularly visiting the Apple center, just like he does with the Cancer Center, to make sure that everything is in order.

This week Steve Jobs has to answer to some requests that come from Chinese workers who became ill when the factory where they worked to produce touchscreens, inserted a cheaper toxic chemical into the production process. They are taking their concerns to the CEO of Apple. It seems that Steve Jobs is going to have a tough week, this week. The workers were hospitalized last year when they presented to the doctor with numb hands and feet, after their company, which was a company contracted by Apple used n-hexane to make touchscreens for the popular Apple gadgets. Apple at first refused to comment on this subject, but they confirmed the fact that 137 workers were hospitalized because of this problem. The workers’ health is not known yet how is going to evolve. The poisoning with n-hexane is said to cause long-term health problems, but they are not explained in detail. It is not said which is the most dangerous effect of this poison, nor if the workers will feel much better in time, if they take some speciffic drugs in this case of poisoning.
