Remember the Motorola Charm that was supposed to land at T-Mobile? Well, the handset just did and T-Mobile users can now take full advantage of it. The Charm is an Android 2.1 powered smartphone that features a full QWERTY keyboard, Motorola’s Backtrack features which allows navigation through using a touch-sensitive area on the back of the phone and a 2.8 inch 320 x 240 pixel touchscreen display. While this phone is not spectacular compared to the most recent Android releases, it does offer quite a lot of nice and useful features. For instance, the Charm is a Motoblur device. This means that it comes with support for a wide variety of social networks which include the very popular Facebook, Myspace and Twitter. Photos can be shot with the help of the 3 megapixel camera featured on the back of the device. The camera makes use of the Kodak Perfect Touch technology which is said to provide better and brighter pictures. As soon as the users snaps photos of what they are interested in, they can share the pictures with friends by uploading them fast and easy to Facebook, MySpace, Picasa and PhotoBucket. Calls are said to be crystal clear with the help of Motorola’s CrystalTalk Plus technology. The manufacturer claims that the two microphones included will ensure better voice quality and at the same time background noise filtering.
The Motorola Charm can now be found for sale at T-Mobile. It has a price tag of $74.99 on a two-year voice and data plan. What’s nice about this phone? Well, it doesn’t completely break your budget in two and it looks somewhat different from most Android smartphones. The QWERTY keyboard might also prove to be superior to the on-screen keyboard other Android users have, at least when it comes to heavy texting.
Other features include : 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, 3.5mm audio jack so that you can use the headphones of your choice, Bluetooth 2.0 and a memory card slot that supports MicroSD cards of up to 32GB. The memory card that comes in the box offers 2GB of storage space. The handset also offers a 600MHz processor, GPS and FlashLite. As for battery life, you’ll get about 5 hours of talk time on 3G with the Charm, which is not very bad.
