Although Linux and other operating systems have come up with really great improvements and want to catch up the Microsoft users, there still are lots of people using Windows as their operating system on all their devices with internet access. And you can’t possibly have Windows installed on your computer and use some other application for editing text documents or photos than Microsoft Office. Of course things are moving really fast in this field of activity, so the guys from Microsoft are compelled to keep up the pace with all the other IT companies and upgrade their software applications as soon as possible. That is why we can use now the better version of the Office, Microsoft Office 2010. You can purchase it in any IT store and you can also try it for free for 60 days if you are not very convinced of its advantages.
The Microsoft Office 2010 package contains more applications with an improved 2010 versions such as: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, InfoPath, OneNote, Project, Publisher, SharePoint Designer and Visio, all with beta version available. You certainly are familiar with Microsoft Office since its oldest version that included only Word, Excel and Outlook. So, you see, every year, this Office package includes more and more tools for the benefit of the user who now has a lot more possibilities for editing text documents of photos. So what are the new features included in this year’s package that are different from those offered last time the Office released a new version? First of all you have now the possibility to also edit the visual documents in detail, using improved formatting tools like colour saturation. You can now take a picture and transform it by various artistic effects that will turn it into a real work of art.
The text editing is pretty much the same as in Word 2007, as it had all the options you needed, but the big change is in PowerPoint and image editing thanks to the new graphic tools you can use. You now have access to new design tools, pre-built Office themes to choose from and also some SmartArt graphic layouts. You can use all these to translate your ideas into images and create wonderful slides for presentations.
The next idea includes more than one Microsoft Office application, covering in fact almost all of them. It is the co-author feature that enables more than one user to edit the same material and have access to and modify the data in the spreadsheets for example. That helps a lot when you work in a team and all the members of the team come in turns to make the necessary changes and updates. They no longer have to wait for a co-worker to send them the files for updating, but they can all have direct access, even from different places, as they can do this online. You can use now different devices too, as long as they have internet access, so now besides your PC or laptop, you can use your smart phone to edit the documents you need to.
But all the new features come with a price: you must have more space on your hard drive and also more memory available for installing the Microsoft Office 2010 (at least 256 MB of memory and 3GB of disk space), but also a minimum 64 bit processor running at 500 MHz and a minimum resolution of your monitor of 1024×768 and, of course, a DVD/CD drive that will allow you to use the DVD with the software for installation.
