This is one of the game, that you will probably like from the first minute, because it`s free. I have to admit that`s a tough marketing strategy to offer a product without asking money, people give it attention, try it, for the simple fact that`s free, but who can guarantee producers that they won`t forget about that product next day?! It`s risky, but without risk, you can`t win.
Microsoft promotes “Metro 2033”, a game that will appear on August 3, on Steam and Xbox Live Marketplace. If “Metro 2033” doesn`t say much to your memory, the game is also known as “Ranger Pack”.
The trailer took my breath away: it`s like you aren`t playing a game, but a true movie of the future. The graphics are impeccable and the movements of characters so realistic, that you live like in a true apocalyptical background.
“Metro 2033 ” is available as member on facebook and twitter, so don`t hesitate to get in touch with the producers of the game. Pay attention that your children won`t play it, “Metro 2033” is rated for adults, over 18 years old.
The plot places mankind in an apocalyptical era. Humans live underground, because the atmosphere can`t be breathed, due to clouds of dense smoke. The air isn`t the only danger for mankind, there are dreadful creatures with wings and powerful paws, that can tear apart any soldier. “Metro 2033” is a subjective title for this frightening picture: life in 2033 is like travelling with a disassemble metro to nowhere.
There`s a strange fact about this game: why was the last shelter of mankind named, by using a real name of town? Why Moscow? Personally, I find it really peculiar: either the producers are in love with Russia and Moscow, it`s a fine attack against the mighty giant across the ocean (as all ends where it firstly begin, knowing the legendary animosity between US and Russia). I`m not very sure, whether I`m right, but please let me know, if you feel there`s something else in the middle or you have found concrete reference about the reasons why choosing Moscow as last town of humanity.
An entire generation was born and liver underground. They won`t go to the surface without a special mask for breathing and without powerful weapons, in order to protect themselves against the mutant creature from outside.
The hero of the game is Artyom, born outside, but raised Underground. This ambivalent character is somehow divided between taking a risk to jump outside, where he was born and between protecting what`s left of humanity and hiding in the viscera of a metro station.
“Metro 2033” promises to keep your attention in alert, to take in to the most dreadful darkness and to teach you how to kill the most dreadful enemies.
