Labyrinth 2

“Labyrinth 2” from Illusion Labs entered the top five this week, ahead “Real Racing HD”. I guess fans of both games are somehow disappointed about this order: those who, prefer “Real Racing HD”, would have loved to see the game on a better place, as well as fans of “Labyrinth 2would have loved to see their favorite game even on first place.

Why didn`t “Labyrinth 2” manage to be the king of the week, we`ll find out when we`ll discuss about the occupant of the first place. At this moment, I can tell you from my point of view why “Labyrinth 2” overcame “Real Racing HD”. There`s an essential leap between playing your car and playing your ball into a labyrinth: in the first case, you need just the speed and a little bit of attention, so that you don`t derail from the loop; in the second case, the accent falls on wisdom, concentration and quick thinking. The more we will speak about “Labyrinth 2”, these features will appear to you more and more concrete.

Labyrinth 2for iPad costs 8$ and will occupy almost 16 MB of your device memory. Comparing with the previous version for iPhone, “Labyrinth 2” features new levels, which will fit perfectly to your big screen. Higher sensitivity or improved physics are also available for an improvement performance.

As expected, “Labyrinth 2” managed to gain positive critics from players, the only disadvantage complaint about was the elevate price. All in all, the game has spectacular graphics, tense plot (every second a new obstacle raises in the way of your ball) or addictive experience, you can play it for hours and still something new happens every time inside the labyrinth.

One thing that really conquered me was the possibility of creating your own obstacles during a course, to share them with your friends for more fun. As far as I can remember, not many games gives you this creative opportunity to be exercised directly on your device.

Another hot point in playing “Labyrinth 2” is the multiplayer level. As you can see from the trailer, you just gather some of your three friends, put the iPads closer one to each other, using Wi-Fi or Bluetooth and the race through the labyrinth can begin.

The idea of creating a game based on a labyrinth isn`t new, but Illusion Labs managed to give it a new touch. In this game, magnets, lasers, doors, cannons or bumpers will raise from nowhere, trying to stop your ball. There is no need to use iPad`s keys, just lean to the right and to the down the device and the ball will move, as you please.
