“Gaps Solitaire” is another form of playing cards by yourself, when you are connected to a computer. To play this game on Yahoo Games, you need to have also an Internet connection, because the game is playable only online, not offline. It is dedicated to those who play card games by themselves, but it requires them to stay connected to Internet.
“Gaps Solitaire” is a game which can be played on your actual living-room table, but the game is much more difficult in that variant. It is better to play it online, because when you click on an empty spot, which does not have a card on it, you will see how the most suitable card will be emphasized by the game, situation that is impossible in the offline game, which can be played on your table in the living-room.
The purpose of the game is to create 4 suites, starting with 2 and ending with K, every suite being formed by cards which are from the same suite. If you click on all the empty spots and you see that there is no available move to be made, you can click the Shuffle button, which will shuffle the cards, so that you will be able to arrange them again in whatever way you want. The cards that have been placed correctly until then will stay on their spots, so they will not be moved along with the rest of the cards. This operation is done to help you, not to confuse you and make the things even more difficult for you. If you want the cards to be arranged differently, you can start the game all over again. The Shuffle option is different from a new game, since it keeps all your good cards on the table on their positions.
When you start the game, you will see how a dealer places 13 cards on the first row and 13 on the next one and so on, until all 52 cards are dealt on the table. Then, the game removes automatically 4 aces from the table, taking them from their locations. Those spots remain empty, which is without any card, but allow the player to move in the empty spot a card which is higher with one point and from the same suite as the card at its left.
