How to upgrade printer drivers

Printers and drivers cause a lot of stress for everyone. All in one printers work as copier, fax machine and scanner, but to function still need instructions from the PC. That’s where printers drivers come into the picture. Drivers help the printer understand and execute commands from the PC. All device errors caused by outdated or corrupt drivers make your PC crash. You need to upgrade the printer drivers.

1. Click the Start button and open the ‘Devices and Printers’.

2. It’s a good idea to upgrade printer drivers – even if your printer has a yellow exclamation-point icon or not – because it may fix bugs you have not yet encountered.

3. Identify the model of your printer - for example: HP printer. Go to HP official website (or to the printer manufacturer’s website), click “Support & Drivers”, select “Download drivers and software (and firmware)“, and type the printer’s name and number into “for product” search bar.

4. Select your operating system and click to download the driver.

5. Restart your computer to complete setup, and then start.
