There is a couple of ways of resizing pictures with Mac:
A. Using iPhoto:
1. Put the pictures you want to resize into iPhoto.
2. Click on Edit button and choose Select All or CMD + A button.
3. Go to File button and select Export.
4. Select JPEG format, change the JPEG Quality to Medium or leave it to High, and set the Size to Custom. Change the Dimensions to 1000 pixels (or to any number you want) and click Export.
5. Select a New Folder and name it. Click on Create and then on OK.
B. Using Preview Application:
1. Double click on the Preview icon in your Dock and then select File and Open or the double click on the picture you want to resize.
2. Click on Tools and select Adjust Size.
3. Now the back drops down. Here you have an option to pick from several predetermined sizes, but you can also type in the exact size. If you change the size for the Width, the Height will automatically adjust so that it stays proportional. Over here you can also change the measurement: weather it’s pixels/percent/inches/cm/mm/points. On the bottom of the box you can see the Resulting Size. Click OK.
4. In order to save it, click on File button and select Save As.
Type in a new name and select Where you want to save the file. Click Save and that’s all there is to it.
