How To Get Published On WordPress

There is nothing simpler. You have to write the article, to verify it for mistakes and then to hit the Publish button.

After you have made an idea of how your blog is going to look and you have a great design for your site, mainly because of the themes offered freely by WordPress, it’s now the time to write. If you like to create a site about photography, you can do this by adding your photos next to the written content. If you don’t like what you see, take a few minutes and check out other sites that have the same subject as you: the photography. Try to see what they do in order to attract visitors. Don’t copy their pictures, copy their ideas. For example, if you see that more blogs have pictures with horses and they have a higher page rank, then must be because the horses are the new trend in photography this year, or perhaps those Web masters are very good in attracting readers. But let’s face it, they all have the same blog subject. It is more than Web design and marketing here. The readers come for their content.

If you don’t like horses, it is best not to use them as a theme for your blog. If you do something and if you do it with no pleasure whatsoever, eventually this will end up being a bad thing, which will definitely not attract the visitors you expect so much.

You can scan the pages that you like and try to remember as much ideas as you can. It is a good idea also, if you have seen this on other sites as well, to write something about yourself. As you can see, there are a lot of Websites, but it seems that those who have a clear interest in their readers will win in a long time. The users of such sites feel that they are treated better, respected and they do not come in vain to visit the site. You need to respond to the comments of your readers, when you will have comments, so that they will feel like a part of community, even though you are not running a social network. In fact, you can create a social network while on WordPress. The goal is to attract as many friends as you can. In my opinion, the blogs on WordPress should be especially for personal pages and presentation pages. In other words, you have something to say about yourself, you want to show the world you are good at something at which no one else is, create a blog on WordPress and spread the word about you.

How do you think you will attract visitors if you do not make a bit of marketing? If you feel that you don’t have ideas, you can search on Google information about creative writing. I remember that I also wrote an article about it two weeks ago. You can also follow this path: enter plinky.com and get your inspiration.

Adding your first post is easy. You can insert photos, videos, links, whatever you like to your post. You can make a link exchange with your friends and share information about them on your site. They can do the same for you and here you are making a bit of SEO by yourself, without any help from friends or relatives. You have two choices where to write the article: in the visual section or in the HTML one. If you copy the text from a text editor into your WordPress dashboard, if the text has HTML codes, it will be transferred in the HTML section. If it doesn’t have codes, you can paste it directly into the visual section.

Some codes can be copied in the visual section, without problems and they will not create problems for your readers, but some of the codes copied from a text editor and pasted into the WordPress platform interface can cause errors, can bold the letters that you don’t want to be bold, can underline some words, may not present some words and so on. To be sure, when you have codes, use the HTML version, when you don’t, go directly into visual. If you let’s say made a mistake, and you published the post, you can edit it later. Leave it this way and go to edit post. Below the name of the article, which is the title of your post, there are a few options, which say edit the post, view the post, delete it and so on. Don’t delete it. Just go and edit it again, remove the mistake you spotted and check the post once again. There are situations in which you might not even see the mistake, so you can congratulate yourself if you have seen it.

It is preferable to preview your post before publishing it, in this way, you will avoid the occurrence of the errors and you will not lose your precious time by correcting the mistakes instead of writing a new article.

You can go to trash the first article that you wrote and the first comment you received. These are Hello World naturally. Just move your cursor above the name of the post and throw it to the trash. If you want, you can keep it. It’s your choice. No one will get mad if you throw the post.

Add an About Me page. The people would love to hear more about the author of those articles. The information presented here should be brief and contain a lot of elements like your contact address (not the physical one), your phone number, your portfolio and things like this. You can add and edit pages just like you do with your posts. It is easy and everyone can do it. For creating a page, you can check the video tutorials that are on the WordPress site. Or on YouTube. The next article will show you how to get flashy with your site on WordPress. This means that after you have created the blog, you also need to attract the attention of others towards your site. You can do this by following certain rules, many of them suggested by WordPress itself. More about this in an hour or so.
