How To Create An Online Character

Those who want to write online and don’t like to write about what everybody else is writing, like: “How to make money online”, “How to buy a car”, “Ways for picking the best dress” and so on. Instead, they can imagine a story and create a certain character that must amaze of all those who will read that novel. Don’t worry if you are not in relation to a publishing house, because in 2011, the novels can be written online too.

In order to create a plausible hero, you need to develop a story that will be liked by the majority of those who visit your site. And here I bumped into another problem. If you have your own Website, this is easy, if you don’t, you have to register on sites that allow you to write literary essays, like a novel, or that allow you to write perhaps songs or poems.

You must find a name for your character and add it some values, like honour, the sense of duty, gratitude, love and respect for all human beings, common sense or on the contrary, hate, love for drugs, sex and others. You can build a character as you want, just make sure you will not offend someone with that character of yours, especially if you are writing on a public Website, not on your own. Of course, all the Websites are checked by Google and when the crawlers discover an offensive language, they even can stop indexing your pages. And all your effort would be in vain, simply because you said something nasty about an actual person in the real world.

Don’t compare your characters to the ones from politics or sports, I mean not to the ones you really hate. You will be focused more on how to say bad things about those people, instead of creating a good novel and a lovable character.

You should think how your character is going to react in the novel. Is he going to speak to other characters or the narrator (that’s you) is going to relate the whole story using the third person. The character must reveal a human being type. A character can be flat or round, can be static or dynamic. A character will evolve or on the contrary will experience an involution, as it is called. Some novels speak about their characters from childhood until it dies at 80. It would be nice that every single day or at a certain period, that you will select, to write about the evolution of your character.

A round character is dominated by many different traits, while a flat character only by a single one. I could write more about characters and how can you create the perfect one, but the time never stops. I’ll come back tomorrow with fresh information. Until then, why don’t you tell us which was your favorite character from the English literature? Or perhaps you love an online character now. Which is it?
