You should start by finding a free online blogging platform. I have written so much about WordPress, so I can you already imagine that I will recommend WordPress. Another important player is this field is Blogger. There are others too, but I do not know of their existence. It is good to work only with the best. There are a lot of blogs created on Blogger and WordPress and you should go towards the direction they opened. There are not millions of people who use these platforms. They must know something. Oh, yes, they know that the platforms are really good.
Ok, after that, create a free account on one of those platforms or on both and provide some of your personal information. When you subscribe for WordPress or Blogger, I suggest you to provide the real e-mail address, which has to be the address that you use the most on your computer or on your smartphone. Of course, it would not hurt if you would download a program, that encrypts the passwords and also the usernames that you use when you log in to certain Websites and when you register on a social network, on a blogging platform, on Amazon, eBay and so on. If you like to write, then keeping a blog is the right decision that you could take. When you create a blog, no one is asking for your resume, no one says that they prefer the people that graduated a Philosophy faculty, no one is requiring you to have a driver’s license, you don’t need to be white to get the job, you don’t need to be an attractive woman and so on. All you need is a bit of time to read all the instructions provided on WP or Blogger, depending on what platform you have chosen. You can enter their official Websites or read some articles here, because there are plenty of those.
When you apply for a new job, for example, if the job is in the IT environment, and even if it’s not, the employer could ask: Do you have a blog? What is the name of your blog? and until your next meeting to pay a real interest in your blog, hoping that he will get to know you better. If you have a good blog, not about pornography, violence and other things like these, the employer could be satisfied with your blog, if you don’t, then you might not get the job. Let your friends do this. You know that picture when you were so drunk that you don’t even remember anything from that birthday party? I don’t if you know the picture, but your employer has all the chances of seeing it, if your friend posted it on his blog and wrote your name below the picture. Just to make sure that he doesn’t miss someone’s name.
You can try to ask your friends not to post pictures with you without your permission, if you know them so wild. When you apply for a position, the employer will look at your past activities mostly, but the blog is definitely a start for them. I know that there are a lot of people which search information online about people. I don’t know how ethical is this, all I know is this a true practice in our days, when you apply for a job.
So, being in the online media, by having a blog, you will learn how to control yourself, you will learn not to create an account on every Website you meet and you will find that this is better. With time, your name in several Websites will be deleted. There are chances that those Websites to not be profitable any longer and your name will be erased along with their content. But there are sites on which your name will be after many years, like Google, Facebook, Yahoo. You will use the services of those companies until you die. Try to make them have a good opinion about yourself. Every comment that you place on different sites make sure to be a positive one. No one likes grupmy people, who always have something negative to comment, even though an article is pretty good, even though a dress is extremely beautiful, a TV show extraordinary, a book amazing and so on.
Those who create a blog can write about everything they want on that blog, but since I started to speak about jobs and hiring opportunities, I tell you that it is a good way to post your resume on your site. When the employer will check your blog, he will see that you are indeed very much attracted by the idea of working at X, at Y or other companies, and you will have a white ball.
