If you own a Mac you know that cleaning it needs a lot of attention. I am a clean freak and I always observe the dirt. One year ago I purchased my first Mac and it’s white. Once the “new” feeling wears off you know that you’ll need to do all necessary to prevent screen damage of your laptop.
They say that a laptop screen attracts more dust than a desktop computer. Having a variety of different cleaning products, what products should we use? The new technologies make possible the production of almost unbreakable screens, but are these screens safe to be wiped with alcohol-based cleaners?
It is highly recommended to use the adequate cleaning solution, but which one is that? After a short research I found out that: first of all, before cleaning the screen, we should turn off and unplug the computer. It’s safer and you can detect any fingerprint on a black screen, and most important is that you can examine the screen status. A large number of commercial cleaners are just alcohol. Be aware and use only cleaning solutions that contains no alcohol. Don’t spray the cleaning solution directly on the screen. Take a cotton cloth, dampen it with cleaning solution and gently wipe the screen.
How often should we clean our laptop screens? The frequency is variable. It depends on location, environment and user.
