Hard drive partition

Partitioning a hard drive is made when you want to install multiple operating systems on your computer or if you want to manage data on the hard easier. Partitioning can be done on a hard one unformatted or formatted.

Instructions:

1. Start the computer in Command Prompt mode.
2. Type FDISK

. Partitioning menu appears on the screen with various options.
3. If you want to partition a second hard in your computer, then press the 5 key. If not, you can skip to the next step.
4. Press 1 to create a DOS partition.
5. Press 2 to create a new partition.
6. Press N when you are asked if you are used to full capacity.

The ability of partition:

1.Type a name for the partition and then press ENTER. Menu will appear on the screen for partitioning.
2. You should repeat steps 5-8 to create other partitions.
3. When you finish press ESC to exit the partitioning menu.
4. Format the new partition created.

Warning:

Watch as partition C have over 15GB capacity.
A very good partitioning program is Partition Magic.

To make the process above it means to delete any file on your hard disk, so make sure you create a copy of computer data.
