F. Operation
Usenet is based on a client-server architecture using communication protocol NNTP – Network News Transport Protocol. A node wishing to receive news sites must connect to an existing node. Main bus nodes are forming Usenet (Usenet backbone). Number of units receiving news is estimated at around 200,000. A user wishing to consult the news sites has to be connected to an access provider offering a news server and have a news client program, in text or graphical mode, Usenet Rumors and billable information. Company clarinet, for example, proposes a subscription (cheaper) for messages transmitted by Usenet news agency.
Create new circles of interest (newsgroups) is ordered by a system of proposals and discussions to be approved by electronic vote.
The project to create a new group discussion described in the application (RFD Request For Discussion). The RFD must be given incentives future creator group, positioning it to existing groups and the topics they intend to discuss. Several groups may be proposed. Then vote, following a call for votes (CFV – Call For Vote) published the news. Users vote using mail. To be created, a group must receive at least 100 more YES votes than NO votes and at pu6n 2 / 3 vote YES. This is an example of democracy operating on the Internet. There is no central authority to decide a new circle of interest, users themselves need to detect or new structures. The discussion takes place over the network until consensus conclusions on the name and theme of the new circle of interest and group (s) to be created on this occasion. Community Voting confirm (or refute), then this conclusion.

G. Netiquette
Lack of centralized control on Usenet is offset by a form of self-censorship which refers to rules of conduct (Netiquette – the Net and “tag”). Netiquette recommends starting by consulting the FAQ’s (Frequently Asked Questions) circle, before asking questions. This document provides answers to questions very (too) frequently. FAQ’s are published regularly in each circle.

Then, before publishing an article, you must verify that it is concerns about the group (recommended prosecution of group discussions for about two weeks). This is especially important to test messages, to be published in groups.
Articles can be published simultaneously in several groups (cross-posting). In this case, they were similar in all groups receiving a user X and read a copy, it will be marked “read” for all user groups which X belongs. However, if the publication was conducted separate operations in different groups, the client can not detect that it is the same document, where that same user can not directly identify messages already consulted.
The author will have to control the style; the subject must clearly and fully exposed, and spelling must be correct. Absolute rule is to check several times before the article click on the “Post”, because once published it is impossible to stop broadcasting to the world. Although usually only include items of personal opinions of the author, they convey an image of its default. Author not complying with these rules may trigger a conflict epistolary (flame wars).
Usenet counter advertising (published outside the hierarchy. Biz) as well as praise from all mail pyramid schemes or make propaganda. Because of this upsurge of publications, Usenet administrator’s nodes can destroy an item to prevent its spread, even though it was published in several rounds of interest.
Articles resembles the structure of electronic messages (header, subject, content, signature, etc.).. Smileys and other abbreviations are often used in Usenet articles.
