Cover Orange

This game from bgames.com is similar to other games about which I discussed a few days ago. But in this game, you have to position some items that are provided by the game, items that are not fixed when they are placed by you in a certain location.

The objective of the game is simple: you have to protect the little orange from being damaged and eventually killed by the projectiles that come from the sky. In the first level of the game, you are required to place a sort of chest above two barrels. You will see that when the projectiles are launched, the chest will move, because it doesn’t have a great stability on those barrels. If you see that you did not place an item like you expected, you can start the level again until you manage to solve the puzzle. If you don’t succeed, you can check the solution on bubblebox.com. I advice you to try first the game and only if you don’t know the answer to a puzzle, to go to the available solution.

For example, one of the levels, which seems very complicated and it really is, in fact, requires you to use a wheel and a chest made of wood, the same chest about which I talked earlier. You have your orange which waits to be saved by the big white cloud which launches projectiles, placed on a wooden stick, which at its turn is placed on other two elements. The bad thing is the stick is not placed properly and the orange is rotating towards the left of the screen. The first item you, the player have to use is the wheel and then the chest. You must use the wheel in that way, so you will not make the orange rotate anymore and to save the orange from being killed by the cloud. The only solution is to move the orange from one location to another, because at the left of the screen, apparently with no use on that board there is another place, impossible to reach for the orange if it just “walks” because between the orange’s actual location and that place there is an empty space, space in which the orange will fall many times, unless you are smart enough and you get the solution from the first time.

I have to say that I did this level for quite a few times and in the end, checked the solution, because I couldn’t imagine how the puzzle can be solved. The solution prooved to be a very simple one. First, you have to position the wheel in that way, so you will make the orange to jump into the air and reach the other location, which seems safer for now. So, if the orange could not use another method to get to the other place, then it could jump. But how to jump, if you are not winged? Well, with the help of physics and of the tools that are provided by the game.
