City Feeds Widget is the second widget that I have chosen to present today because it is a widget that in my mind is one that has a lot of potential. The plugin is described by its developer, who is also connected to the onthecity.org site, as being a normal plugin, which allows the users to connect their Zondervan onthecity.org information and account with their WordPress site.
In this way, the users will be able to upload their information that they have on the site named earlier with their WordPress site, thanks to the Ajax technology, which is used because the pages will load more quickly when compared to other plugins which can offer the same capabilities when connecting a site with a WordPress site. The installation of the file you download from WordPress requires you to unzip the file you downloaded, to copy it into the Plugins directory and of course to activate it. Until now, nothing new for the persons who do this all day long.
Then, configure the settings by starting with the title. You should write a title that is appropriate to your Website and of course to the fact that you present some feeds from your city related to clubbing, girls, boys, fashion and so on. A good name, which is suggested by the manufacturer and which is appropriate for every site, I think, which will use this plugin is City Feeds. Then enter the subdomain that you have on onthecity.org, which functions almost the same as WordPress when it comes to domains. So, write the URL of your site from there, which will be something like this: yoursite.onthecity.org. Instead of writing all these words, you have to write only “yoursite”, without the quotes. Then you are almost set. There are also some other things you can customize, but this depends to you. Most of them are set by default. You have to enter the manufacturer’s site for more information or directly on WordPress.com.
