Chute, Your Online Photo Archiver

Chute is the best solution for those who use smartphones and like to take photos when they are on trips. Who doesn’t like to do that? But what happens if you take photos and suddenly your phone breaks down, or worse, it is stolen? In this situation, all the data inside your smartphone is lost. You can save some of the files if you send them regularly to your e-mail address from where you can upload them on a later date or you can simply save them on a computer, if you manage to transfer them when you are near a computer. There are apps which let you save the files just like you can save the photos when using this Chute app. Just search in the App Store, and you will find a lot of useful applications.

There is another method that can save your photos when you are on trips. If you take the photos with a camera and only after that, you transfer them on your phone, the photos will be stored in the camera as well. If you delete them from your camera and leave them only in your phone and the phone breaks down, it’s your problem. As I said, there is another solution, to upload the photos on a photo site. You can upload them on Facebook, if you have an account. But you will lose a lot of time doing this because uploading photos on Facebook is definitely not a time-saver. On the contrary, you have to send the photos one by one and if you have 300 photos, you could say that a day from your vacation was spent only on uploading photos. This has to be solved in a way.

The solution comes from Chute, which allows you to share the photos with your friends, regardless the number of the photos you picked or to achive them online, somewhere safe, where they could never be lost again. From the photos that you may have stored in your device, you select a group of photos and share them with a group of friends. Those friends could come from Facebook or Flickr. In this way, you will have your photos stored there too, with the amability of your friends, who will have the photos on their walls or pages. You don’t need a connection to do this, I mean not a wired connection. It is enough to turn on the Wireless and sharing photos becomes a kid’s play.

Let’s see how this app actually works. You have the Chute app installed on your phone and your friends also. You share photos with them and they will receive an e-mail saying them that you have new photos to share. If they have active the Chute app in the very moment you send the invitation to see your photos, they will be able to do that directly from their device. If they have the Chute app, but it is not active the moment you send the invitation, they will receive a Push notification, telling them that you have some photos and you better watch them. The friends that receive those photos can organize them offline if they want, can download them and save them on their hard drives. By doing that, you will not have problems if you lose the phone or have problems with your operating system or hard disk on your smartphone. The photos will be safe no matter what.
