If I reminded you of zombies, let`s see a true story with bloody zombies. What you have seen in “Plants vs. Zombies” is just a childish point of view. Take a look at “Burn zombie burn” and you will understand the difference.
I directed myself as usually to visit the official site for more information and I was shocked. Not by the terrifying images of zombies (I haven`t reached that level), but for the music. It`s a strange, creepy, jerky soundtrack that makes you feel like in a cemetery after all. There you will have two figures of human beings, Bruce and Daisy, according to the sex of the user. The title of the game is quite suggestive for what you will have to, you will arm with the closest weapon based on fire and you will incinerate the zombies appearing on your way.
Although zombies are believed to be a non-human species, nothing couldn`t harm them as they are already dead, I don`t recommend this game for your children. I don`t want to believe pessimistically, but as they see in this game, they could believe lately that any fragile, useless being/ object is meant to disappear from their way.
Game editors associated this game with Buffy or Monster Madness. Try it and see whether it`s true or not.
The plot of the game is quite simple and too “American”, I rather say. Your hero, Bruce, lives in a small town called American, he worked hard all week and he was hoping for quiet weekend with his girlfriend, Daisy, when zombies showed up. Bruce promises to revenge and so he creates handmade anti-zombie equipment. On the other side, zombies aren`t the classical zombies that you know from childhood`s stories. Zombies caught the wave of modernization: they are enhanced with masks and helmets, so that you have struggle in order to kill them.
In your rush for zombies, you will have to pass through a series of levels. The easiest one is Woods, followed by Graveyard, Suburbia, Drive In, Military base and ending with Secret Lab- probably the place were zombies are born again.
Your weapons will be produced by your very hands, so don`t expect to see hi-tech items. Flamethrowers and dynamites will be your best friends. For a plus of fun, try to hit the zombies with a cricket stick or to cut them into pieces with a chainshaw. If you are out of fire and any potential weapons, put at work your lawnmower and “cut” some zombies, after all they are as grey as the grass.
The game is old on market, but is somehow passed unseen. It looks that a year ago the story of burning zombies started as a downloadable Playstation 3. This week, “Burn Zombie Burn” became a downloadable title for PC. Producers assure that there won`t be any difference of quality between the two versions.
If you aren`t looking for an easy game for a Friday evening, “Burn Zombie burn” can be your next choice.
