2010 was certainly a year of sequels. So far, have been launched Assassin’s Creed 2, Mass Effect 2, Bioshock 2, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, and the list goes on and on. The shooter from 2K Games was launched on 9 February and brought back the atmosphere of the underwater city called Rapture. The new game looks pretty good compared to the first. The action is resumed from the eight years spent in BioShock, in Rapture of course, but the city looks increasingly worse. The main character you play is Big Daddy, named Delta here, which starts a struggle for liberation of the city.
The BioShock 2 details are meticulously crafted by the team at 2K Marin, this is a major plus. The controls are the same as in the first game and the weapons are also similar. You can choose to save a Little Sister, by taking “her” with you; this helps to identify a Big Sister – a hybrid of Big Daddy and Little Sister – before you attack. A new thing brought by BioShock 2 is the ammunition trap, which is a powerful tactical element.
You have to try the multiplayer experience, which has a separate story. Players enter the role of a citizen of the city of Rapture and fight in the Civil War, the action is in 1959 (one year before Bioshock I). Multiplayer modes are: Survival of the fittest, Civil War (similar to the first), Last Standing Splicer (the dead player cannot reenter the game ), the Sister Capture, ADAM Grab (there is a Little Sister on the map and the player who has “her” in his possession as much time at the end of a period limit, wins), Team ADAM Grab (ADAM Grab similar only the Team is counted in having the possession of the Sister), Turf War (divided into two teams, players have to conquer certain strategic points).
