A piece of news that will make you feel delighted, but also disappointed. If you are a fan or just an admirer of the black-dressed hero of your childhood, “Batman: Arkham City” will be just perfect for you. Otherwise, if you look with a critic eye at all the games released under the brand of Batman and this one won`t be the exception, you will see that our hero is slightly denatured from the character, that you saw during the famous movies inspired from this story.
Batman from the games is sober, more agile, more speedy, but also much more violent. The official site of the game elaborated by Warner Bros. will welcome with a strange image of the hero: a Batman wet on his face with blood. I don`t know what you will think about this, but if I were a mother right now, I won`t let my child play this game, for more I`m in love with the general idea of mysterious, anonymous black dressed hero. If I started speaking about differences, even his logo0 the black bat on his chest is transformed, it`s somehow interrupted and reduced as dimensions.
“Batman: Arkham City” is expected to appear in the Autumn of 2011, for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and Xbox Live. The game wears the name of Arkham, something that bothered me too. In the other sequels, Batman was flying over Gotham City in its totality. Now, his activity is focused just on Arkham. Unless you remember what is Arkham, I have to tell you that we are speaking about the dreadful prison in which the foes of society, declared insane, are kept under maximum security. Of course, Arkham isn`t that secure as it looks, some criminals managed to escape in the past. I guess this is one of the directions followed in the plot: Batman has to face his old enemies, who had enough time to prepare their revenge. Just imagine: all the criminal escaping from Arkham, not even Batman with his agility won`t manage to gather them together to the place they belong to.
The trailer offers you a hint: in the end of it, you will meet again the Joker, but a shadow of the Joker you used to know, tired and aged. The graphics are wonderful, you won`t have problems with motion, direction or the speed of hitting enemies. The backgrounds are in majority nocturnal, which will make you feel more prudent, as foes can attack from nowhere.
The world has already gone mad: street fights, the danger of escaping come from the old criminals…the world need Batman once again.
Unfortunately won`t find much more information related to the new sequel of Batman. The official site is under construction, you can just watch the trailer and register for updates. The game editors also don`t offer too much data than what has Warner Bros revealed already: the game is being created in England, in Rockysteady Studios Ltd. and will appear next Autumn.
