Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, one of the most anticipated video games of the year, was released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this month, and it is planed to be launched on Microsoft Windows in first quarter of 2011.
The new action adventure series from Ubisoft Montreal has an improved single player experience and, for the first time in Assassin’s Creed history, it has a multiplayer component. The focus of the game is once again around the conflict between the assassins and the Templers, and the main character – Ezio Auditore da Firenze. The story continues from the point where Assassin’s Creed II ended: Ezio arrives in Rome and becomes a Master Assassin; he reconstructs the assassin’s brotherhood with the purpose to destroy the Templers, and to eradicate the corruption in Rome’s 16 century. The gameplay mechanics is based on Parkour movements and crowd-blending assassinations. The annoying thing about this game is that you can resume it to a series of new levels of Assassin’s Creed II – same characters, same plot, same moves.
Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood is a sandbox-style game that offers 20 hours of gameplay, more than its previous edition with only 15 hours. What it’s interesting about this game is the features of the main character, Ezio – he can recruit new members, training them, and send them to missions around Europe. In his missions, Ezio has new gadgets such as: Leonardo da Vinci’s parachute, poison darts, and a crossbow. Another interesting addition are the horses that are used, not only as a means of transportation, but also in the game combat, including horse to horse assassination.
