I came across a piece of news regarding Arma II and I was curious enough to follow the link towards the original site to see what`s the story of this game, that managed to be profitable, otherwise it would benefit of a continued version. Surprise! Once I arrive on arma2.com, I was requested to offer my birth date to the site, in order to enable Java and other plug-ins. Strange measures! I understand, it`s the legal security of the game in danger, due to cyber-pirates, but I was thinking to myself: a boy of 10 years old could have entered the site, if he declared the true dates?! I guess not, but let`s see what`s the story of Arma II.
Arma II, which has been released recently, is in fact named “Arma II: Operation Arrowhead” and it`s an expansion of Arma II. The only disadvantage, that fans will encounter, is that the game can only be played just on Microsoft Windows platform. The selling process has just begun: from magazines or ordering on internet, your favorite fresh game will be delivered to you.
How does “Arma II Operation Arrowhead” differ from the previous version of the game?! The producers claim that they have improved their creation with new and hot features, such as massive map for central Asia regions (where you are supposed to fight for your country), multi-environment designs (desert, hills, urban), new improved weapons, optics and vehicles.
In this game, you are a soldier, if you please. If you like the comfort of an advanced military degree, be a commander and give missions to your AI squad members. In first stage, they have to face the dangers of Chernarus (Black Russia), so you can imagine what risky situations the producers prepared for you. As I could notice from my friends, meaning guys, military games are created to keep at hot levels their Adrenaline, so leave him in front of one of these games and he will certainly forget of your presence for an hour.
The game was officially launched on 25th June and it looks that has gathered until now some positive reviews, at least this is the reality presented by producers. It looks that the game won the PC Gamer Editor`s choice award in US.
The plot is somehow revealed on the game`s site, but don`t worry you will certainly find something to catch your eyes, if you are playing it. The players, meaning the virtual soldiers are to enroll into US Army and so they receive a task and a function to exercise: basic infantryman or combat pilots. According to this order, they face normal expeditions` dangers or by contrary, they are in the middle of danger, using the latest weapons and vehicles for cutting, removing objects or locate enemies.
If you once dreamt about becoming a soldier, maybe you should fulfill your dreams now, although it`s a virtual Army, that you are trying to conceive of your skills.
