Anobii Widget is designed for the book lovers, who happen to have a site on WordPress as well and want to share their love for books with other people. If you like to browse the Internet in searching for the best places where you can share info with your friends, you probably know of aNobii, which is a social network for those who like to read. The network was founded in 2006 by a private company.
The widget allows you to connect your aNobii account with the WordPress site. You can use the plugin on Apple devices as well as on Android smartphones. Catalogue your books, rate them, read other reviews by other people who read the book and connect to them to exchange ideas related to the book in question, but also related to other passions that you may share.
The plugin is still in the Beta version, so the users are invited to tell the manufacturer if they find some bugs inside the application or if there are needed improvements. When you enter your aNobii account on the aNobii site, you have to add a link to your WordPress site, so that the sites will be connected. Select what book to appear in the box seen on your site, if you want more books to appear, you have to click on them while you are on the aNobii site. The support is offered in many languages such as: Italian, Indonesian, English, Mexican and Croatian. If you come from another country, which was not mentioned here, you can contact the manufacturer, because he is looking for translators, so that the plugin to become available in more languages.
To start using this widget, first you must have an account on aNobii site, then to upload the files: anobiibook.php and anobiiwidget.php to the Plugins folder that you have on your WordPress site, in the Dashboard section. Activate the plugin and then configure it as you like. All that you do on your aNobii account will be seen on your WP site. I have entered the site.
