I will start this article by showing you how to become a perfect blogger, if this is what you love to do. I know that there are people who eventually quit their jobs in order to become bloggers. I guess that you can learn more from them than from me, but I read their blogs all day long, so I guess I am capable myself of telling you what I think in terms of blogging.
1. First of all, you should use WordPress or Blogger. I have mentioned many times on this site, that I started with Blogger and now I use WordPress, because I think the plugins that are available and the support sections are better on WordPress. Nevertheless, Blogger is one of my favorite blogging platforms and it is a great start for those who want to see what blogging really means. You may become a bit stressed when you see the options that you have on WordPress, so the fact that Blogger doesn’t offer that many plugins as WordPress can be a good fact for some.
2. Write regular posts. It is better to make your readers used with the fact that you write 5 articles per day, 10 articles or 15 articles. This is up to you. What I want to say here is that when you write 10 articles a day, and in the next few days, you know that you are going to be away from home and also from your computer, thus you will not be able to write on your precious blog, announce your readers. In this way, you will increase your credibility in front of their eyes and they will appreciate this.
3. Buy a domain name and make sure to select the name of the site properly. No one will enter a site, which is called gfvjgciahb.com. It may be ending in .com, like a blogging rule says that the most popular sites should end, but come on, I guess that not even the owner of the site can’t remember that name. I wonder how he pronounces it.
4. It is not the time to think of the unexpected situations, but if you love your blog, you will protect its content. There are certain programs, which help you backup the content regularly and I know that if you use WordPress, you will benefit of something like this, so in case of anything wrong happens with the server where you have your site hosted, nothing will happen to the files you wrote on WordPress. To find more about this feature which can be found on WordPress, you better read the support information on WP.
5. When you write a post, make sure you proofread it. You can do it by yourself or you can ask someone else to do it. It is even better to ask someone else to read your articles, because in this way, you will have an objective opinion about a blog. Try not to ask your mom or your dad to read the article before you hit the Publish button, because they might have subjective opinions related to your work. Or they could discourage you to write, so that you will be more present at school or for some other reason. In fact, it is better not to talk to them about this blogging thing. I don’t know how many parents actually understand this phenomenon. Unless they are journalists at their turn.
