Dizzypad HD
Looking for a simpler and non-dilemmatic game for your iPad?! I guess Dizzypad HD will be just fine for you.
It`s a funny and graceful game in which your frog will jump on lotus leaves over a lake. Why is it named “Dizzy”?! Probably because during your game play experience, the leaves will dance around, making your jumping more and more difficult. In order to coordinate your frog, you will need mandatorily your fingers to press the keys of the iPad. The movement of leaning to the right or to the left will just make you stumble and not reach the right leaf.
The game is free in iTunes. It occupies just 15 MB of your device memory, which is another hot point for it, besides the improved version in 3D. The only facts that will bother you are probably the restrictive structure (available just in English) and the repetitive plot: after all your frog does nothing but jumping, either if the leaves are floating around or standing still.
Gamers complain about this aspect of static plot, that I mentioned to you, but appreciate the realistic display created by the 3D effects.
Editors that played the game criticized a lot the so simple plot, but rated it as a possible addictive game on iPad. The argument was that the jumping frog can make you kill your time and the balance between static leaves and the dancing one can put your brain at work. Anyhow, if you consider it too easy, but you feel like dependent on playing it, try to upgrade your free version, which is a classic mode. For 2$, you can add sliders and battle modes to your game, so it won`t look that tarnished.
Personally, what I loved about this game was the colorful variety of frogs. I don`t mind if my jumping session is too repetitive, if my frog is blue. If you aren`t in love with blue as I am, classical green or red stripped frogs are waiting for your attention. I mentioned just two of them, at least 10 colors are available for your avatar as a frog.
On the official site you won`t find that much information about the game or its history, but about the updates as the sliders or battle modes, that I mentioned to you. “Dizzypad” tends to become another evergreen in game industry and producers will find it very difficult to reinvent the jumping frog. Even today, fans aren`t that satisfied of the classical jumping story. I would be very interesting to see a partnership with the producers that created the “The Princess and the frog” for Disney, the game will surely get improved!
