“Prince of Persia: the forgotten sands”
“Prince of Persia: the forgotten sands” is that kind of game, that will be loved even by the most dedicated fans of movie, as me. I rather prefer to get my spirits delighted just by the movie, for the experience fact that game inspired from the same creation doesn`t satisfy the great expectations of viewers. To my surprise, “Prince of Persia: the forgotten sands” really makes good impression even in game industry.
The game launched by Ubisoft , the same company that produced “Assassin`s creed”, is dynamic, catching and somehow more realistic than the movie itself, at least this was my impression comparing the two creations. If you have the time to watch the trailer on the official site, you will see that even the productive team state that the game filled up the “holes” of the movie, where the 3D effects couldn`t express that much the original thought of the plot.
“The forgotten sands” comes to complete the plot of “Sands of the time universe”. In this sequel, you will see the Prince of Persia facing more dangerous demons than ever and getting to perfection his abilities of warrior. It could be considered the maturity period of the Prince, but I have a feeling that producers will launch a new series, more dangerous and tense, next year, in order to fulfill these days` profit.
In this game, our Prince, visits his brother, Malik, in his kingdom. Bad move: Malik decides for a reason or other (the plot says that the kingdom was assaulted, by I guess Malik was a little jealous on his brother and wanted to give him a lesson of toughness) to use the power of sands in order to release a mysterious army asleep under the foundation of his palace, which proves to be a demonic troop menacing to destroy the entire kingdom. Prince of Persia found himself in the difficult situation of searching allies and trying to defeat the demon, which knelt his brother. The central character received improvements, that will take your breath away: scaling castle towers, collapsing buildings or combating demons of hundred of feet tall.
If the Prince manages to defeat the dreadful Army or not, it depends on your ability as player to coordinate his moves. You will laugh this Prince, prudent of using powers that aren`t yours, diplomat and decided to fight until death.
Ubisoft prepared a list of improved features for you, as follows: controlling the Nature (raise your arm and a door blows away), mastery of time (rewinding the flow of events) or submitting elements (Water, Fire, Earth and Air) to your aid. The current Prince is a mystical one and probably this fact will attract in playing the game, unless you are a fan already.
I remember that some years ago I used to play a very old version of Prince of Persia, probably the first one that ever appeared on the market. I remember that the graphics really sucked and it was pretty basic and unattractive but since we were kids and we didn’t have many options, we loved playing this game.
